I am still working on the next post for understanding feeding disorders/aversions, but in the meantime, I wanted to share a video of Stephen crawling! :)
Welcome! I am a 28-year old female, married to the most wonderful, godly, Spirit-filled man, Paul. We have a precious baby boy named Stephen Michael, and he is our angel! Pray for him as he has severe GERD, a feeding disorder, sensory processing disorder, and is G-tube dependent. I am a stay-at-home Mom, former teacher, who happens to have a Masters degree in Christian Education from Asbury Seminary. Paul is employed with the National Guard full-time as a Building Construction Manager and as a Chaplain's Assistant.
Our ultimate desire is to be long-term foreign missionaries to Latin and Central America. I have a huge passion for teaching children (esp. Hispanic kids), missions/evangelism, and speaking Spanish. My husband is particularly fond of discipleship and using recreational ministries to disciple youth on the mission field.
This blog is a safe place for me to openly talk about our lives, our son's struggles, and of course our favorite subject, Jesus Christ.
Yahweh, You alone are my God, not Google.
Jesus, You alone are my Savior, not site meters.
Holy Spirit, You alone are my Comforter, not comments.
So be it, today, yesterday, and every post to come.
This is my prayer I have made on earth and over this keyboard…
Let it be ratified in heaven.
Amen.

Inspiring Words
"We love, because He first loved us." ~ 1 John 4:19
"Everyone's an expert in the pressbox. But on the field, things are different. It's easy to feel alone when it's up to you to win the game." ~ Amazing words from my husband
"You can't make a difference, until you ARE different." ~ Pastor Shane Warren
"I will marry you every day of my life, my beautiful bride." ~ My sweet husband
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." ~ Romans 12:1-2
"I have found the paradox: that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love." ~ Mother Teresa
"I dreamed last night, and now I understand. I dreamed I had fallen into a deep pit where I lay helpless and despairing. Confucius came and said, "Let me give you advice, my friend; if you get out of your trouble, never get in again." Buddha came and said, "If you can climb up to where I can reach you, I will help you." Then Christ came. He climbed down into the pit, and He CARRIED me out!!!" ~ Anonymous

"Earth's crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries."
~ Elizabeth Barrett Browning
"If you love the world, the Father's love is not in you. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful people, the lust of their eyes and their boasting about what they have and do—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." ~ 1 John 2:15-17
"The use or abuse of Christianity in contradiction to the very message of the gospel reveals not the gospel for what it is, but the heart of man. That is why atheism is so bankrupt as a view of life, for it miserably fails to deal with the human condition as it really is." ~ Ravi Zacharias
"Man is not at peace with his fellow man because he is not at peace with himself. He is not at peace with himself because he is not at peace with God." ~ Thomas Merton
“Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket--safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.” ~ C.S. Lewis
"All that is gold does not glitter,
not all those who wander are lost;
the old that is strong does not wither,
deep roots are not reached by the frost."
~ J.R.R. Tolkien
"Never think that God's delays are God's denials. Hold on; hold fast; hold out. Patience is genius." ~ Comte George-Louis Leclerc de Buffon
"Cheap grace is the grace we bestow upon ourselves...grace without discipleship.... Costly grace is the gospel which must be sought again and again, the gift which must be asked for, the door at which a man must knock.... It is costly because it costs a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life." ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer
“Around the corner there may wait, a new road, or a secret gate…” ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
"Not only do we not know God except through Jesus Christ; We do not even know ourselves except through Jesus Christ." ~ Blaise Pascal
"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him, than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell." ~ C.S. Lewis
“We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started And know that place for the first time."
~ T.S. Elliot
